the Pieces Back Together”
The mission of Strong
Families Academy (SFA), a service of Christ Center International,
Inc., and CCI School of Counseling is to help couples
through marriage education services which empower them
to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to form
and sustain healthy marriages. SFA’s curriculum
is designed to help couples learn and apply skills that
will:
•
Improve communication between couples,
• Improve the couple's conflict resolution skills,
• Enhance the assimilation of couples, families
into the United States,
• Understanding the dynamics of blended families,
and
• Strengthen the couple's commitment to increasing
marital and family stability.
Education and training
if offered via group, seminars, and workshops in a variety
of settings. SFA provides education and training programs
in English and Spanish. SFA services include but are
not limited to:
•
Providing marriage enrichment weekends,
• Using marriage educators to develop relationship
skills for challenged couples who have children and
are facing the possibility of divorce,
• Conducting a series of interactive seminars
on building strong families by networking and mentorship
of married couples with young couples interested in
marriage,
• Providing pre-marital education services to
couples who have applied to receive a marriage license,
• Providing Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS awareness
seminars.
